Some English names share roots with their Spanish counterparts, but otherwise, the translation makes no sense.
Madison = ?
Mason (French') = Mason
Mark = Marcos
Danette (Hebrew, from Daniel) = Daniela
Gary (English) = No equivalent
Brooke (English) = No equivalent
Brent (English) = No equivalent
Ashlyn (Gaelic) = No equivalent
Breanna (Gaelic) = No equivalent
Josilyn (several theories) = ''?
There are equivalent names for James, Ann, Rebecca, George, Peter, Alice, Rose, Linda, ... but not for all names.
