If I wanted to say give me, would I say dar mi or mi dar'

You could say "Dame".
For example "Dame los libros" translation "Give me the books"
I think if you want to say give it to me you could say "Dámelo"
Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Neither. You have to say:
Dámelo/la (give it to me)
Dame eso (give me that)
