I'm trying to learn more Spanish vocabulary. I use Rosetta Stone and would like to practice. I'm almost finished with level one

I agree!

Look around and name everything in Spanish. When you can do that then start a journal about your everyday activities...you'll find yourself with a dictionary looking up all the words you don't know. Keep a vocabulary list and go over it every few days by making up sentences that use your new words.

You could watch Plaza Sesimo if it's available to you. You could go to your local library and there in the children's section, they have children's book in spanish...you could just mentally rename everything in your surroundings, etc. There are many techniques with which you can build up your vocabulary. I feel that you should focus on words that are actually a everyday part of your life. In this way, they will be words and phrases that don't just sit in your head. grin
