Question

I know you can say por poco and casi for almost. Are there any other words to use and when do you use which one.

Also, how do you use gustar in the preterito. I can't find a good conjugation.

One more thing, how do say "I like you".

One more, what verb do you use to say I hate something. eg. I hate when I lose my watch.

Sorry, but no. Remember that gustar does NOT mean "to like," it means "to please." So "te gusto" means "I please you," which means "you like me." "I like you" is indeed "Me gustas" (you please me). But that usually only applies in a romantic sense. If you are saying you like your postal carrier, for example, you wouldn't use gustar, but caerse bien, as in "Me cae bien."

There should be no acccent on odio here.

Also, while that is a perfectly good translation, I think a native speaker might say something else, like "Me da piedra cuando..." or "Me da tanta rabia cuando...," each followed by the indicative, or "Me da piedra que..." or "Me da tanta rabia que...," each followed by the subjunctive. Or even just "No me gusta cuando..."
