I need to find a way to express in Spanish the verb " to afford". For example, "I need to work hard in order to be able to afford my expensive Spanish wife!!", or " I need to travel around the world all the time in order to earn money to be able to afford various luxuries."
I cannot find a suitable and concise way of expressing this in Spanish

In the first case you could use the word "proveer"
"I need to work hard in order to be able to afford my expensive Spanish wife!!"
In the second sentence: "costearse" "permitirse el lujo de..."
" I need to travel around the world all the time in order to earn money to be able to afford various luxuries."
