I don't know about developers, but "loot" is a commonly use word in the U.S. as slang for money and for stolen goods.

Haha! I agree.
When I hear the word loot, I think of pirates.
Silvia,
In English the word loot is not used in professional manner.

On second thoughts, when you are discussing developers and the construction industry, loot might be an appropriate word.

It's not the Spanish word I am thinking about, it's the English word "loot". This generally used when you are talking about the proceeds of a robbery.

You're right Eddy. Botín is the better translation for loot.

Backhoe= Retroexcavadora (sinonyms: excavadora, pala excavadora, mixta, etc..)
If you refer to backhoe (Excavator fitted with a hinged arm)

Gated - acceso controlado (controlled area), cercado, cierre

Loot- dinero, capital
