Assistance writing a letter to a hotel asking about availability

Hello!

I'm going to South America in a month or so, and trying to line up some accommodations. I do not know if the hotel I am contacting has anyone speaking English, so I wanted to write them in Spanish the first time. I used to be close to proficient in Spanish, but it's been a few too many years...

Here's what I'm trying to say:

Hello,
I am going to arrive in Los Molles July 8. Do you have any vacancies from July 8th through August 15th? I am looking for a double. Also, is there any discount for extended stays?

Sorry for my Spanish. It's been a long time - does anyone there speak English?

Thanks!

My (rough!) translation:

Gracias.

Blake

Thanks for any help you have to offer!

It's been a long time = ha pasado mucho tiempo / hace mucho tiempo.

Verb to be is not used with long time.

Bueno! Gracias por la ayuda!

Your version does read a bit more...gracefully...than mine, Dunia. Thanks. And Heidita, thank you for the quick response; it's nice to have two different versions to read from so I can see the differences.

Quick question...maybe I can tack it on to this discussion: I can't remember how to say "It's been a long time" in Spanish. Do you just use the preterite of "ser"? I recall it being some idiomatic expression, rather than a literal translation...that's where the "hasta mucho años" came from in the original draft.

Thanks again!

This is a free translation:

I have just corrected your draft. You will get more answers in the afternoon, please be patient.
