Palante

Question

Hello,
My mexican friend said this to me on phone.
Palante dime qué te pasa.
dime qué te pasa means tell me what is wrong (I think)

But what is palante?
I cant find it in any dictionary though. Can anybody tell me what it could mean?

I think that your friend refer to "echar pa´lante=Para adelante)
literally mean to throw forward.
The mean of expression is to keep plugging away, move on, keep going after confronting a problem.
-La situación es muy difícil, pero hay que echar pa´lante-The situation is very difficult, but you have to keep plugging along
