Tu eres mi media naranja....
ok, so is this a term of endearment? Orange stockings?
I found an archaic reference to a cupola. I'd be surprised if it was an anatomical comment.

I'm surprised no one has answered this one spot on yet. "Media naranja" is a metaphor refering to marriage and/or relationships. If YOU are my "media naranja," or "half an orange" and I am the other half of the orange, together we are complete. - Boatbuilder, Jan 30, 2011
If an orange would roll downhill only if it is complete, then the 2 of us together can roll through life because we complete each other. A half an orange can only roll to the flat side and then it stops. - Boatbuilder, Jan 30, 2011

Yes, it literally means you are my half orange (as in the fruit) and means you are my other half/soul mate.

I think that alone it refers to term of endearment.
The mean of Media naranja is Better half, sweetheart, spouse, soul mate...
Tu eres mi media naranja=You are my better half
There is another term that mean the same thing (Mi media costilla "biblical reference about Adan and Eva")

I just ran across this term in a book. It said, "¿Tienes una media naranja?" and gave the meaning as "Have you got a man /woman in your life?" Then I put it in our translator and it said "Do you have a better half?" I find this very interesting.
