How do I say that I don't understand spanish or tell someone to slow down so I can at least try to decipher what they're saying'

Yeah I guess that's what I meant. I may be a spelling bee champ, but I'm still a bit slow in the head. Which is exactly my point.

That sounds pretty good, but I'd have to be feeling really daring, because my accent sucks. Saying stuff and making it flow from my mind normally is ridiculously hard. Especially since my mind's already chalked full of so much. Thanks for the other option though.

Thank you for answering that. It's just really irritating and can be frustrating when I'm trying to help someone at work with the little bit I do understand and they start talking to me like I completely understand. When I say slow down in the way that seems right to me, they look at me like I'm speaking Greek!
