The fact that there are spelling differences between AmEng and BrEng does not mean that English is being butchered (although I agree that it is, on both sides of the pond). They say theatre, we say theater. They say colour, we say color. Neither is incorrect; they are merely from different dialects of the same language.

I had it spelled with the O but changed it. My mother was a third grade teacher and she was BIG on spelling and grammar. When I put the word mustache and moustache in the spanishdict dictionary they both came up so I went with the spelling the original post was in. The English language continues to be butchered here. It is appalling to go to graduations and ceremonies where people are supposedly well educated and hear the improper use of grammar, not to mention our local paper. It is embarassing. I live an hour from Nashville, Tn in good ole redneck country, down in the sticks, but there are still a few good ole educated folks. Oops I probably should have sent this in an email.

Hey many times I've heard people saying "mostacho" in spanish, is quite informal but people will understand you.
Also you can say that a person is "bigotuda", that means that he has a large mustache.
Hard to tell what he wants, but if you are right, then we also say "walrus mustache." Google it for photos.

The formal definition frondoso is abundante, may be was used as a sinonymus, but the words "frondoso" refers specifically to trees, leaves or tree branches.

Frondoso means full of leaves or bushy.
I've never heard frondoso used for mustache.
