Thanks a lot Chelsey. I got your reply just in time to make them last minute changes. gracias amigo.
Hi Tausif, you've done very well here. There's just a few things I would say differently. Mujer works for wife, but it does mean woman, so it sounds a little funny. Esposa works better. Did you mean that Shaheen is a journalist? If so you almost had it, you said journalism...journalist is periodista.
About Marta I'm guessing she's an engineering student, so you could say either "Marta es una estudiante de ingenieria en la..." or "Marta estudia la ingenieria en la..." oh and aprende has one p.
gustar and encantar are kind of tricky little verbs. They translate to like and love in english, but they work backwards. Gustar means to please, so when you say me gusta something, in reality you are saying that the something pleases you. Therefore you need the indirect object (me, te, le, nos, les) for it to work. eg. Liaqoth le gusta mucho ...ditto with encantar. Literally means to enchant... so something is doing the enchanting, but it's got to enchant someone so, Liaqoth le encanta...
As far as the things liaqoth doesn't like, i would replace nada with "para nada". asi: liaqoth no le gusta para nada el vino, el trabajo, ni levantarse temprano en la mañana.
All in all, what you had, while not perfect, was very understandable. Good job!
Chels
thanks a lot. really appreciate it. MUCHOS GRACIAS!!!
"b) Who studied medicine, is now (spanish) médico,
Who studied journalism, is now ( spanish ) '"
here i meant to say they studied journalism and spanish. is that wrong'
Hi Tausif, I hope this can help you:
a) As you know, in Spanish language an accent can changes the words meaning, so you need put attention on that.
Look for some lost tildes on the words: ingles/medico/ingenieria/matematicas.
b) Who studied medicine, is now (spanish) médico,
Who studied journalism, is now ( spanish ) ?
c) A Liaqot
- le gusta mucho el patinaje, el ciclismo, el puenting, jugar futbol, ver la tele, tomar el sol, ir al cine y salir con amigos.
-pero no le gusta el vino, el trabajo y las mañanas ( could be -levanterse temprano en las mañanas).
The statement structure looks pretty good.
