So we reflect on what we had and lost on SD.
I love walking in the rain,
people scurrying by,
heads bowed and sightless,
each droplet separates
us from our need to share ,
And so we scamper not knowing
or caring ,who or what we are,
Along this Boulevard of broken dreams.
The morning of my expectation,
arose again to shine ,
Where once it shone before,
Nothing is lost that was not given
Naught that was given can be lost.
Walking faceless in the rain,
gives way to sharing ,loving,
As I walk the Boulevard of all my dreams.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say goodbye to all my Spanish and English learning buddies on here who have decided not to join us on Spanishelp.
I've had some great times on here over the years. All good things come to an end ..... but, it doesn't have to be the end! We simply move house!
Anyway, all the very best for the future to everyone!!!!!
In 1986, there was a tragic accident at Chernobyl in Ukraine. A nuclear accident at a power plant sent poisonous radiation into the surrounding atmosphere. One result of this was that in the nearby city of Pripyat, the entire population was required to be evacuated to a new city outside the radiation affected area. The people, as they left, took with them only what was necessary. They left behind all their personalty. Clothing, pictures, housewares, bikes, trikes and childrerns toys, all were left behind. Its said that all those things are still there today.
Today, we are like that. Many of us will move together to a new site. But all the forers of SpanishDict will leave behind all their personalty. Their written works, questions, answers and all the activity and spirit that breathed life into this site will be left behind. Those things will remain here, silent, dormant and all but unused until no one at all looks in on them. This is its own kind of tragedy.

Oh Oh ! It is now the 17th October Cinderella will turn into munchkin.
The biggest loss is the encouragement of others to keep learning.
This is becoming the longest farewell in history , a "Gladys Moncreif" of a farewell.
Word of the day-Silbar, to whistle
Dicen que las mujeres no pueden silbar, ¿es cierto?
They say women cannot whistle, is it true?
