Can I end a sentence with, “hablar a”?
Sentence I want to write: They are interesting to listen to.
How I would write this: Ellos son interesante hablar a.
I can't find another example of this specific instance of a sentence, so Im just gonna ask here. If this isnt correct, what is the proper way to write this sentence?

Ending a sentence with a preposition in Spanish is absolutely prohibited.
There are some who believe the same is true about English, but it is not. A long time ago some English teachers taught this, but it was based on grammar rules of Latin, not English. However, it became and still is a "style issue" because it was so widely taught for so long.
One thing IS true in English regarding prepositions at the end of sentences. If they are not needed, then they should be omitted.
Example:
We did not know where he was at. - incorrect, the at is unnecessary
We did not know where he was. - correct
To listen to is escuchar, not hablar. That makes things easier, no?
Ellos is plural, so interesantes.
You might go with something like Ellos son interesantes para escuchar.
As for ending a sentence with a... I would not recommend it.

Jt is correct that the correct verb is escuchar = to listen (to), not hablar!
Spanish natives rarely use the passive voice eg: the ball was thrown. They use the active voice: The boy threw the ball.
"They are interesting to listen to" is a passive voice construction.I would therefore recommend that you write/put :
It is (very) interesting to listen to them
= Es (muy) interesante escucharlos.
I hope this helps ![]()
