Agreed Bosque. There is a growing youth trend to drop the -ly from adverbs. My kids say "actual" instead of "actually" all the time. - jellonz, Oct 10, 2017

Eliminating the "ly" for adverbs even becomes accepted usage over time. For example: I can rust fast. (verus) I can run fastly / rapidly. Fast can be either adjective or adverb. - DilKen, Oct 11, 2017

Hey, it’s simple, there are really only two things you need to know to speak Spanish:

1. Add an o to everything

2. Then say everything backwards

Okay, I lied, sometimes you need to add an a or sometimes an e.

I'm sure Alec is just having a tongue in cheek giggle here - and actually is correct in his OP! However, in order to not become a stale group of old cronies mutually back-slapping each other, new blood is needed all the time.

I agree that most of the newbies are one hit wonders who come along, ask a question and leave with no further comment. I can handle all these, because every now and again along comes a person who genuinely wants to learn and will greatly benefit from the help given. They may be naive to the protocol and format of the site at first, but in time go on to become a valued member of our community.

And, please don't take this the wrong way Alec because you yourself are new here so this is not aimed at you...... isn't this thread more suitable for the Spanishdict Community Room thread? I've seen people lambasted for posting similar 'chit chat' type threads outside of the Community Room thread.

with some doozeys just like the ones that you have highlighted as well as the

Babaji spammers ,on page one today there are three newbies that had me

reaching for the chalk box to throw a piece at them , two are so bad that

they deserve the whole flamin box ,is it ignorance or laissez faire?
