Adding pictures to Q & A posts

Question

Try as I might I can not add pictures. I have followed the instructions given by Sanlee and others but each time the picture appears below the answer box and fresh instructions that don't do anything appear in the answer box. This is probably another stupid question (I have more) but anyone know what I am doing wrong please?

It's not stupid at all. For a reason I don't know the site does not like some of the links for pictures.

It's just trial and error for me. Based in my experience, If the link is not a JPG file the chances it won't work are higher.

Some members have also reported problems to post links and pictures. This is a random problem which the SD team has been trying to solve with no success so far. Sometimes after posting without the links and editing after to add them has been a workaround for this issue.

Oh thanks, its been driving me mad. I did actually try different locations to choose the picture so will keep on trying. - caza, Oct 3, 2017

Old photos disappearing could be because photobucket has stopped them being used. Even your own pics previously uploaded there. - ian-hill, Oct 3, 2017
