How does my letter sound?

Hello! I'm new to this form, so I'm not sure where to post this. For my Spanish 3 class I had to write a letter to someone about the environment, and answer a few prompted questions.

Here is what I wrote: Uno de los atractivos naturales de mi región es las montañas. Las montañas es el mejor parte de mi región. Las montañas tienen unico medio ambiente. Las montañas tienen el bueno sendero para ir de excursión, y el bueno vemos el cielo, la Estrella y la luna. Yo siento no optimista sobre futuro del medio ambiente en mi región, y para el mundo por qué el calentamiento global. El gobierno están haciendo más leyes para el parque nacional, y la contamination en la calla. los ciudadanos reciclar más, y no basura cuando ellos ir de excursión. Es necesario hacer mas. Nosotros proteger el medio ambiente. No menor Lanzar las cosas, hacer en bici, y comer menos carine. Gracias,

Uno de los atractivos naturales de mi región son las montañas. Las montañas son la mejor parte de mi región. Las montañas tienen un medio ambiente único. Tienen un buen sendero para ir de excursión, y un día bueno vemos el cielo, las estrellas y la luna.

Yo no me siento optimista sobre el futuro del medio ambiente en mi región, y para el mundo por el calentamiento global. El gobierno está haciendo más leyes para el parque nacional, y la contaminacion en la calle.los ciudadanos reciclan más, y no dejan basura cuando ellos van de excursión. Es necesario hacer más.

Nosotros debemos proteger el medio ambiente. No debemos tirar cosas, debemos ir en bici, y comer menos carne.

I don't know what your level is, my friend, but this is quite a nicely structured and written essay. You have to be careful with spelling.

And it was not necessary to include the English version as this was perfectly clear and comprehensible.

Hi Mika, welcome to SpanishDict. The word mountains is plural. Sometimes you are using singular "es" and other times you are using plural "tienen". The government is singular, and you are using the plural "están". The verb proteger needs to be conjugated. There are many, many more errors in the letter, improper capitalizations and some missed vocabulary. Please take another look at it, fix it as best as you can and then post that along with the English translation of exactly what you are trying to say.

Good start, though. Keep trying.
