Access and posting problems with mobile device
My friends Brad and Coffeelate have serious problems with the following:
Brad said the following:
- Log in is complicated.
- Home page huge on the mobile, you must swipe to the right to bring the rest of the page over.
- You need to do this to get to the login box, which you can barely see on the mobile
- poor color choices for the boxes, login and password
Coffeelate said the following:
- En mi cel me salen propagandas
- y me saca de la página !
Coffeelate has been missed on the forum, she is not only well liked and much appreciated, but she was also helping on corrections, which she loved doing but as she can't even log in, it's a small disaster.
Please add any problems you have on the mobile phone if you log into the website from that device.

Hoola!! Brad here, wish to report an update about web site experience!! I have, ah duh, successfully loggedin via the mobile device running latest Android OS, and Firefox as browser!! Web site looks completely different now and mobile friendly!! Login box was easy to see, and login was a breeze!! Kudo's to the site developer for an awesome looking home page!! B-) ![]()
Thanks Brad! I'll try Firefox =) - Coffeelate
"desktop" web page were ad free!! With ad blocker disabled, mobile web page filled with ads, "desktop" webpage had no ads!! If ads prevent anyone from seeing login box, try requesting "desktop site"!! This should help with ad issues!!
Can anybody explain what "desktop webpage" means?
Hoola!! Jeje, Brad again with, hopefully, more uesful information!! I originally mentioned to Heidita two weeks prior, that it was a bit difficult to log in to Spanishdict.com!! Website did not "fit" mobile screen, (LG G5 on Verizon), website colors were a very light cyan on a white background!! This made finding the login box quite a chore!! I use Firefox as my main browser on both mobile and pc!! I also use Adguard ad blocker on the mobile!! I disabled Adguard, went to spanishdict.com, and was bombed with ads, jeje, if you use an ad blocker, you tend to take it for granted!! However, when I requested "desktop" website, the ads disappeared!! With ad blocker on, both mobile web page and "desktop" web page were ad free!! With ad blocker disabled, mobile web page filled with ads, "desktop" webpage had no ads!! If ads prevent anyone from seeing login box, try requesting "desktop site"!! This should help with ad issues!! Gracias amigos and amigas!! B-) ![]()
Desktop webpage: websites can tell if you are using desktop or mobile. Some websites, when they detect mobile, will give you a mobile view, which is a reduced version of the actual webpage. The problem is that sometimes the mobile view excludes critical information.
I can't tell if Firefox resolved the problem that Coffelate was having. She might try the Puffin web browser app. It is feature-poor, but noteworthy configuration options include request desktop site, and enable text reflow (words wrap, they don't go offscreen). Note: I use an iPhone, and I don't use an ad blocker.
