Correct Subjunctive

If I want to say I wish you had come with me, would this be the correct way to go about it? Ojala que vinieras conmigo.

I used the translator, however it came up with viniera instead of vinieras. Shouldn't it be vinieras, as I'm referring to the person as you?

Thanks

"I wish you had come with me" does not translate as "Ojala que vinieras conmigo"

The correct translation is: Ojalá hubieras venido conmigo.

Alternatively you could say, more literally, "desearía que hubieras venido conmigo", but the ojalá form is more common and fluid.

Viniera is the formal "you" vinieras the informal "you"

Obviously the translator does not know to whom you are speaking so chooses the polite formal version of the verb - margarita1943, Sep 16, 2017
This comment is right, however the tense used is not correct. - Gekkosan, Sep 16, 2017
I agree Gekkosan, but I thought it was best to take one step at a time. So glad you made the grammatical tense correction - margarita1943, Sep 17, 2017
