HI Bw, welcome to the forum ![]()
I guess you meant : los quiero mucho in your comment.
Well, the sentence can mean:
I love you (all) very much.
I love them very much.
It depends on context.
Querer is more often used in Spain, we hardly ever use amar, even for a closer relationship with a man or a woman, we would still say "Te quiero mucho".
Hello!
This link from 2010 might be pertinent to this subject. "I love him very much" = "Lo amo mucho" ???
Hope this helps.
Regards!
Yes that is what I meant. So it is a male talking to a female. So if it has Los in front it always means more than One? And want is the difference in meaning of los amo mucho and lis quiero mucho - Bwheat
Hi bwheat, if you have a doubt, please post , because if you only comment, people might not see it. In any case, good for you to pm me ![]()
So if it has Los in front it always means more than One?
Yes, los is always plural, it can mean: all you guys, all you girls and guys, all those people.
And what is the difference in meaning of los amo mucho and los quiero mucho
Well, using amo would be more intimate. In Spain "amo" is hardly ever used, even in a sentimental relationship we use "quiero".
In other countries amo is used in a more general sense.
TE amo.
I would thing this is only used to tell a woman or a man : I love you.
Os amo mucho...los amo mucho
: I love you all very much...it doesn't mean sentimentally, more or less the same meaning as in English.
