Conjugations for AR verbs

Question

Hi i'm having trouble figuring out which form of an AR verb to use when forming a sentence. an example would be Ella ________________ (necesitar / hablar) tomar el autobús por la mañana con su hermano y usualmente ellos _______________ (preguntar / llegar) a la universidad a las 7:45. I believe the verbs that i need to use are hablar and llegar but i'm not sure which conjugations to use.

I assume you are very new to Spanish so it makes sense to use present/indicative tense. I'm not sure why you thought hablar was correct. You are learning to 'hablar' Spanish. If you put a verb or phrase in the translator on the home page it will be clear - Mardle, Sep 12, 2017

2. Llegar

Depending on which verb tense you want to use, let's say you want to use the present tense, you say.

Ella necesita tomar el autobús por la mañana con su hermano y usualmente ellos llegan a la universidad a las 7:45.

You would use necesitar because that is what she needs to do in order to get to the destination and not hablar because hablar translates to 'to talk'. You would use llegar because that means to arrive at a destination, and preguntar means to ask.

By the way, noah, we have a conjugator on this site, it will help you to find the correct conjugation for the tense you need.

I guess at the moment you are doing present tenses, just have a look, for example
