Gustar, encantar and amar

Question

I saw a post about the nuances between encantar and amar. I understand encantar is used for things we love, in the sense of enjoy, but what about Gustar... i thought me gusta meant I like something.

Sometimes I say to my students "me gusta habar espanol"... would it be more correct to say "me encanto para hablar espanol"?

The sentence is correct .

This sentence is not correct.

Me encanta hablar español.

You were already told it is more emphatic.

You don't need the preposition.

Amar is to love , as in a love relationship. Sometimes however, when you want to exaggerate , we also used it , for example with food.

Amo las ostras.

Me gusta I like.

Me encanta I like very much or I love.

Both are ok. The second Is more emphatic.

“Encantar” is more emphatic than “gustar” in the sense that is mentioned here.

“Me gusta hablar el español”=”I like to speak Spanish.” “Me encanta hablar el español”=”I just love to speak Spanish.”

“Amar” would never be used in this case.

Think of “encantar” as “enchanted”.
