I know Rae says no accent on solo, but I have read a number of writers who disagree with this , one of whom has written explaining why. He is from Madrid and is a prolific writer particularly of crime fiction

El DRAE dice: "solo2 Cuando hay riesgo de ambigüedad con el adj. solo1, puede escribirse sólo. 1. adv. Únicamente, solamente."

Yo lo uso porque me gusta que este claro cuando me refiero a "únicamente", en vez de "no hay ningún otro".

Esté requiere un acento, debido a cómo se pronuncia, éste no si no hay ambigüedad, pero me gusta usar los acentos en éste y sólo de vez en cuando para recordarme que hay los que los prefieren. :) - bosquederoble, Sep 10, 2017
