asolearse vs tomar el sol

Estoy muy sorprendida.

Yo pensaba que gekko se estaba inventando algo , asolearse...eso ni existe...me decía yo.

Pues ya lo veis:

asolear

1. tr. Tener algo al sol por algún tiempo.

2. prnl. Acalorarse tomando el sol.

3. prnl. Ponerse muy moreno por haber andado mucho al sol.

¿Quién lo conocía?

En España juraría que no se conoce esta palabra, decimos: tomar el sol

Although I know this word, I have never used it in my life. I guess it is regional.
We say "tomar sol". In Argentina we don't use the article as apparently they do in Spain.
