There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speakers suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.

Guidelines:

Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

No creo que su amor sea sempiterno.

I don't think that their love will be eternal.

En el interior de nuestro anillos de boda mi esposo y yo hemos grabado "La vida y el amor sempiterno."

In the inside of our wedding rings my husband and I have engraved, "Eternal life and love."

La sempiterna cuestión de “el huevo o la gallina” es de verdad una cuestión de la evolución o la creación. Según la teoría de la evolución, un ave hembra que no exactamente fue hecho un pollo recibió los genes correctos adecuados de un macho para poner el primer huevo que dio un verdadero pollo. Según la creación, Dios creó la gallina, y luego la gallina puso huevos.

The eternal question of “the chicken or the egg” is in truth a question of evolution or creation. According to the theory of evolution, a female bird that was not exactly a chicken received the correct genes from a male to lay the first egg that resulted in a true chicken. According to creation, God created the chicken, and then the chicken laid eggs.

This is not an invitation to discuss the merits of either theory- please keep comments to my use of the language. :) - bosquederoble, Sep 5, 2017

Gracias, JRaider. I do read my English after writing it, but I guess I do too fast. I always write the Spanish first. :) - bosquederoble, Sep 5, 2017
Bosque - This is like pouring an ice cold beer on a hot day and asking people to comment on its appearance :) Can I just offer (with no theological theory or seriousness involved) Day 4: Inspired by his omelet success, man created God. - jellonz, Sep 5, 2017

Esta pareja legendaria es el epítome del amor sempiterno, pero quién sabe qué pasaría si hubieran sobrevivido a su calvario.

This legendary couple is the epitome of everlasting love but who knows what would happen if they would have survived their ordeal.

..."if they had survived" sounds better, but what you have is not inccorrect. Good job, amiga! :) - rac1, Sep 5, 2017
wow, excelente, porcu, muy complicada la frase , impecable - 006595c6, Sep 5, 2017
Good question ;-)! - Jraider, Sep 5, 2017
Actually the conditional perfect should not be used in the "if" clause. "If they had survived" is correct; "if they would have. . . ." is incorrect. It is a common enough error, though, that it may be accepted as correct before I die. :-) - AnnRon, Sep 5, 2017

Un tatuaje es algo sempiterno, algo que durará siempre, que teniendo principio, nunca tendrá fin.

A tattoo is eternal, something that will last forever, something that had a beginning but will never end.

(not so true nowadays, it seems that you can actually delete tattoos with a laser beam )

A tattoo removal is expensive. Some people don't have any due to skin allergies or infections. Also, tattoos are associated to criminals & gangs. Like the Yakuza, Japanese mafia. - NKM1974, Sep 5, 2017
It can be removed but it is painful and may leave a scar. - 00fac92a, Sep 5, 2017
Beautiful work. :) - rac1, Sep 5, 2017
Have a badge Heidita ;-)! - Jraider, Sep 5, 2017
don't do that to me, raider, I detest the system of badges and these kind of stupidities...I see people actually asking for them..."you vote me ...I vote you"...jesus, cretinos - 006595c6, Sep 5, 2017
I think that people just say that when they were going to vote anyway but notice that their vote will result in a badge. - Echoline, Sep 6, 2017
I know, echo, it still annoys me to see people with over 300k ask for votes, disgusting - 006595c6, Sep 6, 2017

El tiempo es sempiterno, y la eternidad es una cantidad infinita de tiempo. Vivimos por algún tiempo, por lo tanto debemos vivir por parte de la eternidad. Pero como parte del infinito es el infinito, por tanto también parte de la eternidad debe ser la eternidad. Así que parece que somos sempiternos.

Time is eternal, and eternity is an infinite amount of time. We live for some time, therefore we must live for part of eternity. But as part of infinity is infinity, so too part of eternity must be eternity. So it seems we are eternal.
