Ya con que... ya...
I was watching this video on name-brand vs. generic products in Mexican supermarkets and I was confused by a sentence used in the video.
Here's the dialogue (starting at 5:24):
Narrator: (Holds up 2 rolls of toilet paper, one that is 40 pesos, and one that is 4).
Narrator: Prácticamente 40 pesos contra 4 pesos. ¿Cuál ganará?
Narrator: (Turns to another shopper) Hola
Other shopper: Órale
Narrator: Mira, es cuatro pesos este.
Other shopper: Pero es Chadraui.
I don't understand that last line. I'm guessing it means something like "As long as it's that brand of toilet paper, it's pretty bad".
I guess I'm having trouble figuring out what the structure of the sentence even is supposed to be.
Narrador: (Se vuelve hacia otra compradora) Hola
Creo que quiere decir "As long as it's that brand of toilet paper, it's pretty bad", pero ni entiendo la estructura de la frase.

Juan Carlos has the right idea; allow me to clarify, though. Chedraui, evidently, is a supermarket chain in Mexico
The argument seems to be that the cheaper roll is the supermarket's own brand, and in the eyes of the tv customer that, in itself, makes it inferior.
Clearly the customer has no faith in the supermarket's own brand of products.
I wonder what the two "ya" are doing there...makes no sense. But this is Mexican, they probably talk like that .
Last line means, ¨"It is Chedraui, being an own brand toilet paper it is already pretty bad".
Maybe that is why is so cheap compared with the other brand.
