yes, it's cuna. I think cuna de oro is a nice expression and it could be new for some of SDers. - polenta1, Sep 1, 2017
polenta: which word fits in all.....nobody corrects us, a mí me está empezando a molestar, si te digo la verdad - 006595c6, Sep 1, 2017
"What word goes" is well understood and doesn't sound bad at all. "Which word fits" is fine also...which word makes sense, etc. all would be OK. - DilKen, Sep 2, 2017
They correct us . A mi ya me corrigieron varias veces estos días. Me están desasnando. Mejor, es bueno que lo hagan. - polenta1, Sep 2, 2017

When I first looked at the post Ann had answered so I decided not to as I believed she was correct. Still I did not know all the expressions. In the UK you describe someone with rich parents as being born with a silver spoon in their mouth.

The time I remember cuna is when we were discussing generation 27 poets.

The late Miguel Hernandez wrote a sad and hauntingly beautiful poem to his new born son from his prison cell ( he died there)

Joan Serrat sings many of the poems. I have previously posted it, but do listen if you do not know it.

After reading #1 only....70% sure it was cuna.

After reading #2 .... 90% sure.

After reading #3 ... 99.9% sure.

Can never be 100% sure with Polenta ... she can be tricky. smile

I was one hundred percent sure after reading the first, as I read it right after reading her answer to my last question. But for that reason I did not answer. :D - bosquederoble, Sep 1, 2017
Good reason bosque - polenta1, Sep 1, 2017
Am I tricky? lol Thanks -Dilken - polenta1, Sep 1, 2017
I did too, bosque. I probably wouldn't have known otherwise. Was that cheating? I did read all of them to make sure "cuna" would fit. :-) - AnnRon, Sep 1, 2017

What word goes in all the sentences?

Is this sentence correct?

Yes, it sounds perfectly normal to me. I wouldn't claim to speak the Queen's English though. :) - bosquederoble, Sep 1, 2017
Yes, it's fine. For extremely formal English something like "What one word can be used to complete every sentence?" might be preferred. - AnnRon, Sep 1, 2017
Which (one) word can be used to complete each sentence, or the one written by Ann, but it is a game not formal and what p wrote is what you would say. - Mardle, Sep 1, 2017
What word fits in all the sentences? - polenta1, Sep 1, 2017
I've now spotted your sentence in the comments, which is fine too. - Mardle, Sep 1, 2017
