I have seen photos and heard lots of interviews with people who live there. It is going to be very difficult for a very long time. I cannot imagine how frightening it is. - Mardle, Aug 30, 2017
I can, having lived through Katrina. We are still working on things and it's been 12 years yesterday since it struck. - rac1, Aug 30, 2017
God help the people who were attacked by hurracane Harvey. - polenta1, Aug 30, 2017

I left where it says "y el sol comenzó a salir de la nube" meaning the sun began to leave the cloud but I suppose you meant it to be poetic, not literal.

Thank you for your great help. You made my letter perfect. My weak points are that I cannot conjugate verbs well nor know how to use tenses and moods properly. Slowly I hope I can get there. - chantaneeyip, Aug 31, 2017

I suspect that my Spanish is not much better than yours, so take these suggestions with a grain of salt:

voy a pisar el agua - pisaría el agua

no había agua - no hubo agua

comienzó a salir de la nube - comenzó de surgir de detrás de las nubes (comenzó, not comienzó)

6 en la tarde - 6 de la tarde

estoy tan feliz - había estado tan feliz

Gracious a Dios - Gracias a Dios

Thank you, jtaniel for trying to help me. I need to learn more Spanish grammar to be able to understand all the complications of tenses. - chantaneeyip, Aug 31, 2017
