I agree with Ken except for "holidays." For the US, the holidays are like July 4, Jan 1, Martin Luther King Day, Veterans' Day, etc.

No me bronceo los días feriados (or días de fiesta.)

No tomo el sol los días feriados (días de fiesta.)

• No (me) bronceo en las vacaciones.
• No hago un bronceado durante las vacaciones.

One verb for "to tan" in Spanish is broncearme. Literally, bronze myself.

Another very common phrase is "tomar sol" - to take sun

Holidays in English can mean vacation (British English) or official days off of work / government holidays, New Years, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

Vacation = vacaciones

U.S. definition of holidays - días de fiesta.

I don't like to tan on vacation.
No me gusta broncearme en las vacaciones.

I don't like to sunbathe during vacation.
No me gusta tomar sol durante las vacaciones.
