'Should I help you' in spanish
How do i say 'Should I help you?' in Spanish with the verb: ayudar?

My attempt...
¿Te ayudo?
Remember that Spanish is a more direct language than English and usually has no equivalent of things like
Do I...? Shall I...? Did I...?
...and so on.. No need for another verb (I think they're called Auxiliary verbs in English but I'm not sure)
Only use it in situations where the "tu" form is ok.
I'm not a native speaker so let's both wait for one
Hello Manolya,
Welcome to our Spanishdict community forum
You asked:
How do i say 'Should I help you?' in Spanish with the verb: ayudar?
Informal:
You can say, if you are talking to a friend or close family member, child or younger person:
¿Debería ayudarte? or...
¿Te debería ayudar?
Formal:
If you want to address a stranger, older person or person in authority, you would say:
¿Debería ayudarle? or...
¿Le debería ayudar?
The use of the indirect object pronoun le corresponds to the 3rd person singular conjugation Usted = You (formal) which is used to show special respect to somebody.
There may well be other options but these appear to me to be the best and most obvious ones!
I hope this helps
Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor
Hello!
This can be said in four ways both formal & informal:
- ¿Debo ayudarte (informal) ayudarle (formal)? Must I help you?
- ¿Debería ayudarte (informal) ayudarle (formal)? Should I help you?
- ¿Puedo ayudarte? (informal) - Can I help you?
- ¿Cómo puedo ayudarle? (formal) - How may I help you?
