Welcome to La Palabra Del Día
There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speakers suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. La palabra "environment" es traducida aquí como "entorno". Me parece bien que así lo sea. ¿Qué les parece la palabra "medio ambiente" como su traducción? O como dicen algunos sabedores simplemente "ambiente" porque para qué vamos a usar solamente el 50%?
Además me gustaría preguntar si también la palabra "entorno" no les suena a "entourage" en francés o inglés. Por ejemplo:

Why not "medio ambiente for environment? I accept "entorno" of course but I'm really used to "medio ambiente". And about "entorno" , doesn't it sound a little like "entourage"?

This is the way we use "medio ambiente", "ambiente" and "entorno" but of course using "entorno" as "environment" would be ok though a little weird for us. I wonder how it's used in all Spanish-speaking countries.
