Translation of "A lovely little angel"?

Hi, everyone! My friends just adopted a little cat from a Stray Animal Shelter. His name is Uno, because he's their first cat. They took him home, but he was too sick and weak. After the emergency surgery, he still died... Although they had a short time with him, they wanted to make a memorial to him.. My friend wants to make a tattoo on her body with "A lovely little angel" in Spanish. I do the translation for them, and I am not sure if it's correct or not. "Un hermoso angelito, Uno"

I am impressed...I have two cats of my own. Whoever has an animal at the end they are like kids to us. I remember a friend saying once:

I had six children: three daughters, two sons and the dog.

Anyway, your sentence:

I would go with a somewhat shorter version as this is a tattoo.

"Uno, hermoso angelito"

I would place the name first, it sounds more like a name like this.

or maybe , longer:

"Uno, nuestro hermoso angelito"

Uno, our lovely little angel.

We are talking about which adjective is better, "hermoso" or "adorable"?

"Hermoso" - beautiful, gorgeous, lovely

"Adorable" - adorable, also an alternative to "lovely", but you get the gist. First one tends to be interpreted more like physical beauty, the second one more as cuddly-loveliness.

Allow me to offer some other options (what Heidita proposes is perfectly fine):

Your English version does not include the name, so I'm going to offer a version without the "Uno" name, and another with the name:

"Un angelito encantador" (no name)

"Uno, mi/nuestro angelito encantador"

"Un amoroso angelito" (no name)

"Uno, mi/nuestro angelito amoroso"

had learned lots adjectives when I studied Spanish, like "hermoso, precioso, adorable, encantador, amoroso, lindo y bonito,..., etc. And I think it is really hard to me to use those adjectives. XD - Li-Chan8474, Aug 23, 2017

I'm afraid that this is very much a matter of personal taste. I kind of assumed your friend speaks Spanish, in which case they could pick their favorite. If they don't, why would they want the tattoo to be in Spanish? - Gekkosan, Aug 23, 2017

I really like the idea of adorable, a perfectly good choice in Spanish and English.

"Uno, nuestro adorable angelito"

This sounds really good to me.
