Hi geens, welcome to the forum
all the options given by our members are nice.
I would personally use:
¿Te gustaría salir conmigo? Quisiera invitarte a cenar/comer, al cine.....
How about that ?
This option however:
¿Quieres salir conmigo?
in Spain it means: do you want to be my girlfriend?
Where is this date happening? we can get you more answers from all over the world, we have lots os Spanish speakers from different countries on this site
¿Quieres salir conmigo?
in Spain it means: do you want to be my girlfriend?
Same in Argentina, at least years ago when I was in that situation).
Hello Geens,
Welcome to our Spanishdict community forum
You asked:
Could you say: ¿Querrías salir conmigo? to ask someone out in Spanish?
You can say:
¿te gustaría* salir conmigo? = Would you like to go out with me?
or ...¿Quieres salir conmigo? = Do you want to go out with me? In Spain this means do you want to be my girlfriend?
This is definitely the better option of the two that I have given you in the light of what Heidi has just revealed about the example using the verb 'querer'!
The imperfect subjunctive form: quisieras* is used much more these days than the conditional indicative: querrías which, although grammatically correct, would sound strange. In this context! I personally think that the verb gustar would sound better here than either quisieras or querrías.
I am not a native but I am a very experienced intermediate level student!
I hope this helps
