A quiz I finished asked: Fill in the blank in the following sentence with the denominal verb that replaces the phrase in parentheses. Voy a (usar el teléfono para llamar) a Juan.

What does it mean by, "denominal verb?"

Denominal verbs are verbs that are derived from nouns. So in the example above

I am going to (use the telephone to call) Juan the substitution would be the same as in English...

I am going to phone Juan.

Now, with this clue can you do the translation?

I have never heard of a "denomial" verb before. It make sense though. They're more abundant in English. - Daniela2041, Aug 3, 2017
