My spanish cariño told me: You have taught me that the arrows exist, what does it mean? He said I should look it up that it had a Spanish meaning but I cant find it.

I don't think that Spanish has any special arrows. I think it could come from "las flechas de Cupido" or Cupid's arrows.
Cupid is the god of erotic love.
These arrows maybe.
