The word "unisex" is used in Spanish too, we apply it for clothes, cologne... But if you are talking about a hairdresser, we say "peluquería mixta".

Welcome to the forum. What are you actually asking? Unisex is a word used in English and Spanish.

In my country (UK) generally barbers only cut men's hair but hairdressers though mainly dealing with women also style men's hair. They wouldn't describe themselves as unisex they just style people's hair.

If you need a better or fuller answer please edit your question.

Bienvenidos y Buena suerte.

We would say peluquería unisex in Argentina. This sounds as one of those things that are different everywhere.

I assume it is cultural. In UK I think all hairdressers do blokes hair but barbers only men's hair. - Mardle, Aug 2, 2017
