zumo /jugo

Question

would "jugo" be understood to mean "juice" if I'm in Spain

Hi dave, I am from Spain, yes, everybody would understand you.

But hey, when in Rome do as the Romans do, right

We say zumo, I would go with that

We grow sqillions of Oranges here but nothing beats the oranges from the Valencia region they are something else. - ray76, Aug 2, 2017

Both will be understood. The use of either one is entirely regional.

In Argentina we use "jugo" pretty much every time but I've heard "zumo" also. It sounds odd to me though.

Don't know the preference in other countries.

Here we say jugo but we of course understand zumo.

But I suppose that the word for "juicy" must be "jugoso" everywhere.

Am i right?

I have found zumoso in the DRAE but I don't know if they use mostly this word in Spain too.
