I always read his answers which are usually elegant always informative and often with a touch of humour. The number of badges reflects the community who welcome his efforts [though not always the original questioner as he regularly helps new members who don't always acknowledge]
However, he clearly enjoys sharing his knowledge and wisdom and is not there for points or badges
