If someone is on the phone you do not want them to hang up/ disconnect the call - Mardle, Jul 26, 2017
What I meant was when you're talking over the phone and you don't want the other person to hang up. - rickypunzalan, Jul 27, 2017

Could it be you meant on the telephone?

Por favor permanezca en línea.
or
Por favor permanezca en el teléfono.

You could also say:

No cuelgue. Permanezca en línea.

Hello!

In Spain, please hold can be said in two ways:

  • Espere un momento, no cuelgue
  • No cuelgue, por favor.

Also, here's a link with audio from a previous post. please translate. "I will transfer the call to a spanish analyst, stay on the line"

Hope this helps.

Regards!
