Thank you all and each every one for your postings here. I have read with pride, surprise and gratitude all your accolades and kind words. The 300k in no way means that my level of Spanish is where it should be.
I am, if the truth be known, a lazy student and the 300k points have just stacked themselves one upon the other without much effort from me.
I think we have a lovely community of people from all over the world here on SD and I am happy to be part of it.
I am blessed to know wonderful people from so many places in the world.
A world that is so absolutely wonderful in its geography – cultures – traditions and history.
It really is one family in a massive universe – we are all neighbours and all face the same challenges sadness and joy.
Now is the time for me to stop basking in fleeting fame and glory and get back to work.

I am late to this as I had hoped to find the perfect cartoon or picture. Still it is more important to just say achieving all those points whilst fending off spammers and other mod jobs is a tribute to your steadfastness, helpfulness and willingness to encourage other learners.

It gives me great joy to congratulate my dear pommy mate and I am gratified
to see that all you spanishdictaholics concur. I cannot imagine SD without such
stalwart characters as Ian not only for the incredible hard work that he puts on
his E W O D but all the other English tests that he rattles our medulla oblongata
with on a regular and daily basis often with little reward except to know that we
appreciate and love him. As you know or as you may not know last year we
spent a great holiday together in Spain and England so that I was able to get
to know him , and guys he is the same off-screen a real nice guy and good friend

Hola, don Ian. I have really appreciated all you have done on SD. I especially appreciate the help that you give me whenever I ask you a question regarding English. You have experience in teaching English to hispanohablantes, so you know the kinds of difficulties that are common to us. I have a degree in English, but there are times when the advice of an expert is needed, and I don't know of anyone who is more of an expert than you!
