Do I use the command form when giving directions in a recipe?

Hi, I'm working on an assignment where i write a recipe in Spanish and give directions on how to prepare the dish. When I explain how to prepare and make the dish, do I use the command form? Thanks!

I have seen recipes in Spanish using either the formal imperative,or the informal (tú) imperative, and some even with the infinitive. A quick Google search for "recetas en español" will give you many examples.

I have seen recipes many ways. If you are fairly new to Spanish I suggest the Tu imperative.

We listened to a complicated recipe in class then wrote it in Tu imperative then rewrote it using the se construction.

and here is one from the same company with directions ,( in imperative) on screen. Watch out for the number of verbs which are stem changing.
