Conocer + infinitivo

Conocer + infinitivo

Can conocer theoretically ever be used before an infinitive, i.e., "Yo conozco pedir un buen precio." Or, to be funny: "Yo conozco ser inteligente." Or, still more self-incriminating: "Conozco saber mucho." (I am familiar with asking for a good price. I'm familiar with being intelligent. I'm familiar with knowing a lot." Yikes!)?

If so, are there cases where conocer is used in real-world practice with an infinitive?

No, conocer is not followed by infinitive.

You could say
Yo sé pedir un buen precio.
or
Yo estoy familiarizado/a con el hecho de pedir un buen precio. (very unusual)

Yo sé que soy inteligente.

Remember the famous saying:

Solo sé que no sé nada.
I only know that I know nothing.

For what it's worth... this discussion of saber and conocer says "Only Saber can be followed by an infinitive."

Your example of to know how to ask for a good price would use saber.
