"Te las contaré más tarde" seems to be appropriate, but it would be good if you could provide more context.

Or "los" instead of "las" if the reference is not to "historias" but to "cuentos (de hadas)." - jtaniel, Jun 27, 2017

Hello Annalzzy,

Welcome to our Spanishdict community forum smile

You said:

As you have not yet stated in your profile your level of proficiency in Spanish, I (we) do not know if you already know this, but to start a Fairy story in Spanish to correspond to the English 'Once upon a time'..you usually start by saying: (Bold words)

ex: Había una vez, vivia un príncipe que se llamaba ...

= Once upon a time lived a prince called ...

ex: Érase una vez, había tres cerditos (o cerdos pequeños)

= Once upon a time there were three little pigs....

I thought this vocabulary might prove helpful!

I have also included a link to a story that I wrote and posted on the Spanishdict forum some time ago that was corrected by one of our regular native Spanish speakers called Raff. Here it is: enter link description here

Of course I would not expect you to copy it but I posted a link in the hope that it might help you with your understanding of how Spanish natives express thoughts, ideas and feelings and if applicable to learn from some of my mistakes! wink

Here is a link to an official website where you can also find some well lnown Fairy stories like Little Red Riding Hood, Cindarella, Hansel and Gretal etc...enter link description here

I hope this helps smile

Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor : )

I disagree a little bit with your examples. You use two verbs instead of one. For me the correct way is: "Había una vez un principe que ..." or "Eráse una vez, un principe que..." - txustaboy, Jun 28, 2017
