Hola

I started learning spanish few days ago. Esto es me primero post aqui :D

Me question ahora:

What is the difference between:

¿Qué edad tienes? y ¿Cuántos años tienes?

Gracias

Wow, a new learner !!

A special welcome to you, my friend smile

Your question: there is no difference.

You can say both in any country. Sometimes there is a regional difference, but not here.

Ahh I didn't suppose I will make so many mistakes in simple sentence haha. But I don't learn gramar yet. Words first. The most important to understand and to be understood by others ;) - Jawegiel8413, Jun 25, 2017

Essentially the same meaning, however the "rough exact" english translation is a little different.

¿Qué edad tienes? = What age do you have? ? [How old are you?]

¿Cuántos años tienes? = How many years do you have? ? [How old are you?]

I'd assume it is just personal preference and certain areas may use one more than the other.

¡Este es también mi primer puesto!

Hello!

Here's a previously discussed thread from 2009. ¿cuántos años tienes? o ¿Cuál es tu edad?

Hope this helps.

Regards!
