Don't be so annoying...don't be such a drag, don't be a nuisance.

it has nothing to do with "weight". pesada: heavy.

here the correct translation of "ponerse" is simply "to be"

No seas pesada...no te pongas pesada...same old story wink

The tense used is the subjunctive and ponerse is one of many verbs of change meaning to become. I

Hi Diana! In this case "pesada" is an informal adjective that means "annoying". "Ponerse" is used as "to get" (similar to "volverse", check this: http://www.spanishdict.com/traductor/ponerse).
