él se llama Kaden. This does say ¨his name is Kaden¨ right? To say her name is ... I would write ella se llama ... Is this correct? Im doing a family tree project for my spaish class and i want to make sure this is right.

Él se llama __________ <---- Here goes the name of your male classmate

Ella se llama _________ <---- Here goes the name of your female classmate

Or if you prefer you can also say:

Su nombre es _________ <---- Here you add either the name of a male or a female without having to put the pronoun él or ella.

You are correct. However the "él" or "ella" is not necessary unless you are emphasizing "he" or "she". If you would supply a little more context I could be more accurate in my explanation.
