Para Alegrarla?
I am giving a Spanish presentation, and I need to know how to say "To cheer her up", in Spanish. Would "Para alegrarla" be a good translation? I have seen it be used many times. This presentation is about a girl who is extremely stressed, while her friend tries to lighten up the moment. Hence, the "To cheer her up", or even "To make her happy" would be fine, honestly. Thank you!

I think your suggestion seems OK. Good question. For more examples of "cheer her up" you could go to context.reverso.net and enter - cheer him up or cheer her up. You will see several other possibilities with complete Spanish and English sentences as used in movies, plays, books, etc. Aninmarlo seems to be the most common, but alegrarlo is also used. Here's a sample:

You can say para alegrarla but you can also say: para animarse = to cheer her up
Quería animarte = I wanted to cheer you up.
