"Él me gustaba" Is also a short way to say it. - Michelle2071, May 30, 2017
Michelle: I see that you are fluent in Spanish. I thought the "short way" should be: (A él) le gustaba yo. - DilKen, May 30, 2017
Yes kenhuizenga I agree. I would conjugate gustar in the first person as it actually doesn´t mean "to like" but "to be pleasing" therefore literally "I used to be pleasing to him" so I think Michelle´s version would be "A él, yo solía gustarle" - ErikainAndalusia, May 30, 2017

He liked me-
Él gustaba de mí.
or
Yo le gustaba ( a él)

He used to like me.
Él solía gustar de mí.
or
Yo solía gustarle ( a él)

I liked him.
Yo gustaba de él.
I used to like him.
Yo solía gustar de él.
