I can't get over how incredible rude you are. You probably don't see it yourself. - Nissemanden, May 31, 2017

Hello Nissemanden,

Welcome to our Spanishdict community forum smile

You asked:

¡Qué maravilla... "ome"?

Are you sure that you have written/copied down this last Spanish word correctly or did you hear it spoken somewhere and attempt to write it phometically as you heard it ?!

Could you provide the full context /sentence where you originally found it written / or provide us with the recording via a link to Utube or some other site, please?

I am not a native Spanish speaker but also could not find this word ome anywhere in the Spanish section of my Oxford English / Spanish dictionary.

Having said that, I of course realize that even the best offline and even some online dictionaries cannot keep up with the continuous development (evolution) of any global language.

It could possibly be an idiom or regional colloquial expression or even slang assuming that you have written in correctly; but regrettably not one with which I am familiar!

I will keep looking and hope that in the meantime some kind native will enlighten us both of us!

Update:

1.If what Ken said in his recent post is correct: that it is Colombian slang for the word hombre = man, then your sentence could mean either: That's wonderful, man! or What a wonderful/marvellous man!

Feliz: maybe it is the slang term "homie" meaning a friend from one's hometown - DilKen, May 31, 2017
I think this is used as an equivalent of "hombre" or "compadre" - DilKen, May 31, 2017
Thank you, Ken! Your comment and post certainly got me thinking! You may well be right! Let's see what the natives say! - FELIZ77, May 31, 2017
i found it various places. But first in a youtube video, where two people ate having a conversation and the other guy kept saying "Que maravilla ome". And it would indeed make sense if it meant Man. He used it as a default cause he couldnt care less - Nissemanden, May 31, 2017
