"Pet peeve" in Spanish

Question

Can anyone tell me how to say "pet peeve" in Spanish? It's one of those things that doesn't translate word for word, like...por si las moscas (just in case)

I would especially enjoy translations from Mexico and Guatemala.

As this idiom has no direct equivalent in Spanish, we have different ways of expressing it, such as "Lo que me fastidia/molesta más" and like expressions.

Tenía un criadero de peeves y los dejé escapar al barrio para que molestaran a los vecinos menos amenos. I had a peeve hutch and i let them escape to the neighborhood to vex the less sociable residents.

Now, seriously, I would use "molestia personal" because they are personal, although some effect a great many people: the sound of fingers on a blackboard, rubbing a balloon, or cutting cardboard, etc. You know, I probably would just say "molestia", but explain it in more detail if necessary.
